Community-based Vulnerability Risk Mapping and Adaptation Planning |

Description:

This project is part of the ADB TA entitled "Strengthening Capacity for Managing Climate Change and the Environment." It will develop a methodology/tool to evaluate the communities' ability to adapt to climate change, identify vulnerable areas and determine risks. The methodology will be piloted in four ecological regions representing middle hills, high Himalayas, mid-Terai, and lower foothills. The key outputs from the project are 1) a scaleable community-based vulnerability assessment and action planning tools is developed; 2) village-level adaptation plans and maps created in pilot communities;and 3) training modules designed for DDCs and VDCs to facilitate usage of tool. |
